Judy grew up in the Skagit Valley, and has lived most of her life in the Pacific Northwest. Judy took up quilting and then became hooked on art quilts. She believes that creating art is breathing; she can't have one without the other. Judy studied design from teachers from all approaches and found her own style. She chooses her subject matter from the fabrics themselves. Every piece of fabric has a story to tell and she is the storyteller. Judy is always stretching, learning and trying new things. She believes that our art is who we are. All of our experiences bring us to this point and influence every thing we do. Judy belongs to Arlington Arts Council and participates in shows all over the Northwest.
